Now that school has started again I like to have fresh and fast breakfasts. I will now show you how to make overnight oats. It makes everything easier in the morning!
- 1 ½ cups of oats
- 2 cups of the milk of your choice
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of greek yogurt
- A pinch of salt and cinnamon
- Optional: 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, berries, nut butter, honey, brown sugar
Optional mix or toppings: Greek yogurt, brown sugar, red fruits, bananas, peanut butter or almond butter, nuts, honey, chocolate chips, granola, coconut flakes.
Mix the oats with the milk, greek yogurt, vanilla extract, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a bowl. If you wish, add chia seeds too. You can also add in berries, peanut butter, honey, or brown sugar if you wish.
Pour the mixture in four different jars and put a lid on each. Store in the fridge overnight.
The next morning, you can add more milk if you desire, or heat the oats in the microwave. Add the sweetener of your choice (I like putting honey). Then, top it with your favorite ingredients. I like adding greek yogurt, berries, almond butter and shaved almonds.
