Healthy Tangerine & Blueberry Gummies

Today we’ll show you how to make healthy tangerine and blueberry gummies. This is a little bit of a different recipe, as it is a little bit of a healthier alternative for this candy and has some vegetables as secret ingredients. Let us know if you tried them. We hope you like them a lot 🙂

Ingredients:

For the tangerine gummies:

1 1/2 cups of tangerine segments.

1 medium carrot, boiled

2 1/2 tablespoons* of honey (you can also use agave honey or other sweetener of your choice)

1/4 cup water

5 tablespoons of gelatin/isinglass

For the blueberry gummies:

2 cups blueberries

1 small boiled beet

2 1/2 tablespoons* honey (you can also use agave honey or other sweetener of your choice)

1/4 cup water

5 tablespoons gelatin/isinglass

*If you prefer your gummies to taste sweeter, feel free to add more honey.

Instructions:

Put greaseproof paper in a baking tin and grease it.

In a blender, blend the fruit with the boiled vegetable you will use for each gummy flavor (tangerine with the carrot, and blueberries with the beet).

Add the water and honey, and continue blending until the mixture is liquid and smooth. If you taste it and feel it lacks sweetness, add more honey. Repeat this step for each gummy flavor.

Once the mixture is ready, pour it into a pot and sprinkle the gelatin/isinglass) evenly over the surface. Leave it for five minutes, and when you see that the surface looks wrinkled, turn on the stove to medium heat and stir the mixture constantly until it is uniform. Make sure the mixture does not boil.

Then, let the mixture cool and put it in the refrigerator. For a better texture, let it stand for 24 hours in the refrigerator.

Finally, remove the mixture from the refrigerator and cut the gummies into the shapes you like best. We hope you enjoy them!
