Today we will show you two eco-friendly ways to wrap gifts for Christmas! It gives them a unique touch and, of course, the planet will thank you for it.
1. Music Sheets
If you, a friend, sibling, or family member plays a musical instrument, this idea is perfect for you – you can reuse old music sheets to wrap your gifts! It’s super easy to do and it looks beautiful.
Materials :
- music scores
- Rubber or Scotch tape
- Scissors
The following materials are for decorating and enhancing the gift’s presentation. If you wish, you can use them and if not, no problem!
- Yarn (Optional)
- Red marker (Optional)
- A piece of scrap paper or cardboard paper (Optional)
Instructions :
Step 1 – It’s very simple, wrap the gift as you would normally do with wrapping paper. Only, in this case, you will do it with a music sheet. If the gift comes in the form of a box, it will be even easier to wrap.

Step 2 – If you are already happy with your gift presentation, congratulations, you are done! But if you want to decorate it a little more, follow these steps.
Step 3 – With the yarn, tie a traditional bow as shown in the photo below.
Step 4 – Then, if you want to give it some color, draw on a piece of cardboard paper or white paper a simple shape such as a heart, star, etc.
Step 5 – Color the drawn shape with the red marker and cut it out with the scissors.
Step 6 – Finally, glue the cut-out shape on the gift and you have a beautiful, simple, and original decoration!
2. Toilet paper roll pillows
This is another idea that is perfect for small gifts such as jewelry, accessories, candy and more.
Materials :
- Toilet paper roll
- Scissors
- Paint (Christmas-themed colors like red, green, gold, white, etc.)
- Glue or scotch tape
- Pen or pencil
- Paintbrush
Instructions:
Step 1 – First, you have to paint the whole roll of toilet paper in the color of your choice. Then you have to wait for it to dry before proceeding to the next step.
Step 2 – Now, flatten the toilet paper roll, and with your pencil or pencil, draw a semicircle on both sides of the roll as shown in the picture below.
Step 3 – With your scissors, cut out the semicircles you drew so that the roll looks like this:
Step 4 – Then, return the roll to its cylinder shape. That is since you had flattened it to draw and cut it, now you have to mold it back into its cylindrical shape, as shown in the photo.
Step 5 – As you can see, each side of the roll has two pointy ends. On one side you will fold both ends inwards, making sure there is no visible gap. Then, with your scotch tape or glue, you stick them together to close it up.
Step 6 – Now you have to put the gift inside the paper roll. Since you have already sealed one side of the roll, now you have to insert the gift and seal the other side.
Step 7 – On the other side of the roll, again, fold the two ends inwards and seal it with scotch tape or glue. You will see that having sealed the roll like this, a pillow-like shape is created.

Step 8 – Finally, you can use colors, pens, or pencils to decorate the pillow and write the name of the person who the gift is for.
