Did you know you can eat quinoa for breakfast? Try this delicious recipe with blueberries, and bananas.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of water
- 1 - 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 cup of quinoa
- Blueberries and bananas
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine the water, milk, vanilla, quinoa and salt. Place over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Then cover it with a vented lid and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring as needed.
2. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, covering it again with a vented lid, and cooking it for another 5 minutes or until most of the liquid is gone.
3. Continue stirring as needed. Then, pour the quinoa into bowls and top it with blueberries, banana slices, walnuts, and a drizzle of honey.
