Healthy gummies? Who said you can't make them?
Today, we'll show you how to make natural and healthy tangerine and blueberry gummies. This more nutritious alternative to this sweet treat has some veggies as secret ingredients. Let us know if you tried them, and we hope you like them a lot 🙂
Ingredients:
For the tangerine gummies:
- 1 1/2 cups of mandarin orange segments.
- 1 medium carrot, boiled
- 2 1/2 tablespoons* of honey (you can also use agave honey or other sweetener of your choice)
- 1/4 cup water
- 5 tablespoons of leaf fish gelatin
For the blueberry gummies:
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 small boiled beet
- 2 1/2 tablespoons* honey (you can also use agave honey or other sweetener of your choice)
- 1/4 cup water
- 5 tablespoons leaf fish gelatin
*If you prefer your gummies to taste sweeter, add more honey.
Instructions:
- Put greaseproof paper in a baking tin and grease it.
- Then, in a blender, blend the fruit with the boiled vegetable you will use for each flavor of gummies (e.g., tangerine with carrot and blueberries with beet).
- Then, add the water and honey and continue blending until the mixture becomes liquid and uniform. If you taste it and feel it lacks sweetness, add more honey. Repeat this step for each flavor of gummies until you get the flavor you want.
- Once the mixture is ready, pour it into a pot and sprinkle the leaf fish gelatin evenly over the surface. Leave it for five minutes, and when you see that the surface looks wrinkled, turn the stove on medium heat and stir the mixture until it is uniform. Make sure the mixture does not boil.
- Then, let the mixture cool and put it in the refrigerator. For a better texture, let it stand for 24 hours in the fridge.
- Finally, remove the mixture from the refrigerator and cut the gummies into the shapes you like best. We hope you enjoy them!
