Did you know that alfajores are Sofia's favorite sweet? Try this delicious recipe and cook with the family!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups cornstarch
- 2 cups butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Utensils:
- Measuring cups
- A sifter
- A rolling pin
- A large bowl
- A small glass
- Two large baking tins
Instructions:
Step 1
Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and seal three times.
Step 2
Add the butter to the dry ingredients and knead until smooth. Then, put a little flour on the table so the dough does not stick, and stretch it first by hand and then with a rolling pin.
Step 3
Cut the dough into circles using a cookie cutter or a small glass.
Step 4
Grease the baking tin with butter and flour. Then, place the circles you cut out of the dough. Bake them at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Step 5
Once the cookies for the alfajores are ready, let them cool. Then, put manjarblanco (dulce de leche) on one and cover it with another, as if forming a "sandwich." Finally, sprinkle the alfajores with powdered sugar and enjoy!
